the word clouds utility

my website wordcloud
Long life to word clouds tools!
Such an useful tool for qualitative researchers... These tools let you think about the keywords and the most relevant elements you are pointing out... They represent a professional tool as well as they can be part of a final .PPT presentation (summarizing key results, showing at a glance main associations/concepts).
Thus... keep using it!

being both a videomaker and a qualitative researcher

some frames from the videoreport - a woman cleaning her coffee machine

I have just been asked to make a videoreport about an ethnographic research that has been managed in Germany and France. The unusual thing was that I didn't take part of the project (no interviews, no report, nothing at all!). The qualitative institute just asked me to watch the ethnographic sessions, then to arrange the videoreport.
Although, at first, I was a bit baffled... actually, it has been a really interesting job. As far as I am a qualitative researcher, I'm pretty sure my video editing job has been much more interesting if compared to the one that a video-editing consultant could have done.
Once again, a further confirmation that being both a qualitative researcher and a video maker can be a strength :-)

the impact of a videoreport

I started to propose qualitative video reports in 2006. But it was probably too early.
Both qualitative institutes and final clients are recently showing an increasing interest for it.
Clients have always been looking for verbatims.. So why don't we provide them something more?
A qualitative video report (that can be added to a traditional .PPT report) enriches written words by adding tone of voice, nonverbal reactions and consumer's emotions.
